Analysis of the Causes of the Collapse of the Foaming Cement

Foamed cement encounters many problems in the production process. The biggest problem encountered is the collapse of the mold, and some will have a small range of retraction. What are the reasons for the collapse of the foamed cement mold?  Today brings everyone together to analyze it carefully.

The collapse mode of foamed cement can mainly classify reactive collapsed molds and non-reactive collapsed molds. Of course, we are talking about using silicon cement (P42.5).
Let us first look at the reactive collapse model.

A foaming cement reactive collapse model is mainly because the foam stabilizer and the cement are not compatible well, which can not achieve a good foam stabilization effect, causing a rapid reaction, collapsing in a short time, and the reaction is severe, and the cells are large. There are two solutions to this phenomenon. The first is to re-select the foam stabilizer, and the second is to replace the cement.

The most important non-reactive collapse mode of the second foamed cement is that it takes about half an hour to start, and some ones slowly start to collapse from one corner after one hour or even longer, or the surface cracks from the middle crack. Then collapsed. There are two main reasons for this collapse.

1 The amount of stabilizer added is not enough. Originally, a cubicle needs about 1.8kg, but many customers sometimes change their own consumption in order to save costs, which will cause instability and then cause a collapse after a period of time. At the same time, the size of the mold is also related to the amount. If we calculate by a cubic plus 1.8kg, the 0.3 cubic mold only needs about 0.55, but the 0.6 cubic mold is not simply multiplied by 2, which requires 1.1kg. Even 1.2kg more, because the larger the mold, the greater the tension of the surface, and the higher the stability of the bubble. Therefore, customers who encounter large molds should adjust the dosage in time to avoid collapse.

2 The initial solidification rate of cement is too slow. This is the main reason for many manufacturers to collapse the mold. At the end of the foaming, there will still be a mold collapse for up to 3 hours, which is caused by the cement solidification speed is too slow.
