Aerogel

Silica aerogel is a gel obtained by reacting a chemical solution to first form a sol and then gel, remove the solvent in the gel, and obtain a spatial network structure filled with gas and a solid surface with extremely low density Of porous materials. Aerogel has an ultra-fine honeycomb pore size and porous structure, which is formed by interconnecting polymer chains. The pore size is generally less than 100 nm, and the aerogel particle size is generally less than 20 nm.

The forms of aerogel is mainly thermal insulation aerogel felt, board, cloth, paper, particles, powder and special-shaped parts.

Application of Aerogel

Silicon aerogel materials have good thermal insulation performance and fire resistance performance, are ideal substitutes for traditional thermal insulation materials, and have good application prospects.

(1) Silicon aerogel can be used as a reasonable substitute for insulation materials in wall insulation systems;

(2) Silicon aerogel particles are used in thermal insulation mortar;
